Would you like to participate in a study to help us better understand the body’s immune response to COVID-19?

We are inviting you to take part in a Study for patients diagnosed positive for COVID-19, or patients who have symptoms of COVID-19 who have not been previously tested/diagnosed. All study-related visits and tests will be provided at no cost. In addition, volunteers may receive up to $50 for their participation in the study. No health insurance is required.

The COVID-19 Studies are collecting information with blood and saliva samples to better understand the body’s immune response to COVID-19.

About COVID-19

In March of 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic.

COVID-19 belongs to a family of viruses called Coronaviruses that cause illnesses such as the common cold, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).2 The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is known to cause severe acute respiratory symptoms in some patients.

The incubation period of the virus is about 14-days, which means you may be infected before showing any symptoms. Once symptoms appear, an infected person may experience mild to severe symptoms such as:

  • Fever
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Cough

Other less common symptoms are:

  • Tiredness
  • Aches
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Chills
  • Loss of taste or smell

Those who have an immune condition, or who are elderly with pre-existing health conditions are considered to be at risk and are the most vulnerable group of people.

The COVID-19 Studies are collecting information with blood and saliva samples to better understand the body’s immune response to COVID-19.

What happens if I sign up?We will match you to a Study location in your area that needs patients diagnosed positive for COVID-19, patients who have symptoms of COVID-19 who have not been previously tested/diagnosed, and patients who have recovered from COVID-19 or notify you when one becomes available. The study team will then contact you and you may have the opportunity to participate if qualified.

If you think you might like to participate in the COVID-19 Studies or would like more information, please enter your information below so we can see if you may qualify and can contact you about the studies. Keep in mind that participation is entirely voluntary. If you do decide to take part in a study, you may change your mind about participating at any time.
